Jonathan Yarwood's Golf Academy

There is some exciting news this week with the opening of the Jonathan Yarwood Academy.  Donnington Grove had the great pleasure of welcoming both Jonathan and Michael Campbell – 2005 US Open Champion, who is coached by Jonathan, for the official opening of this exciting and unique opportunity on Monday 19th May. The event,  held on Monday afternoon was well attended by Donnington Grove members and the golfing media and they were treated to a short and highly enjoyable Jonathan and Michael Master Class.

Jonathan Yarwood is a world class coach and well renowned on all the major Tours, with 15 years of high level coaching experience which includes taking Michael to the 2005 US Open.  Jonathan has chosen the Grove to open his first Academy outside of the US, due to the superior golf course and facilities we have to offer.

Our own local professional, Matt Woods, has been appointed by Jonathan as his Director of Instruction to coach under the Academy.   Matt has already spent a week’s intensive training with Jonathan at his US Academy and is now available to coach both members and non-members.  We are pleased to offer members a special coaching rate of £60 per hour (please note non-member hourly rates start from £75) and there is an exclusive opening offer of £200 for 4 hours coaching available to the first 30 members to take up this offer.

The Academy will provide lessons to all students within the exclusive facilities, which includes an in-door academy room, fitted with the latest videoing and viewing technology and the new academy tee, chipping and putting green areas located at the far end of the range.

The Jonathan Yarwood Academy prides itself on world class golf instruction and coaching, combined with exceptional customer service and product presentation in all areas.  Each student will receive a DVD at the end of each lesson containing before and after footage with key notes to help students fully understand what improvements have been made.  The Academy’s philosophy is that one size does not fit all in golf and therefore each coaching session can be tailored specifically to all individuals’ needs.  This process starts with a one-on-one chat with Matt to identify goals to be achieved and results in Matt defining specific areas for improvement and a plan of action being developed.
