Just 16 points wins the Champagne Roll-up!

Despite a reasonable number of entrants on Friday, the bottle of champagne was won by Alan Print, after count back, with only 16 points! The winning card was not even handed in initially as the score was not deemed high enough to be in with a chance. Well done to Alan, whose par at the 8th for 4 points proved decisive in the count back.
If Stuart Anstie had been in the bar on Friday evening he would have won the cash draw. Once again the money gets rolled over to next week.

MacDonalds lose to a hole in one!

Ron and Ann MacDonald played in the regional finals of the Bader Cup today and just missed out on winning through by a pairing who pipped them by just 1 point, after a hole in one for 5 points! The winning pair accumulated 39 points against 38 for Ron and Ann. Hard luck to them but well done for getting to the regional finals in the first place.
Must be a bit like coming second in a PGA tournament by one shot to a player shooting 59 on the final day, as happened in the States a few weeks back! Well.........maybe not quite!

Seniors get revenge

On our recent tour to the Isle of Wight, when we played Sandown & Shanklin we came second. But not this time! Between squally showers and gale force winds the Seniors played some great golf to win 4 & 2. We welcomed senior virgin Alan King into our team, listened to some surprisingly good jokes from captain of the day Tom Reseigh then went home and fell asleep. » Read More
