Competitions

The Club runs variety of competitions throughout the year organised by Steve Clark and the competitions committee.

Entry sheets for this year's knock out competitions are available in the pro shop and all events are listed in the club diary and further competition information will be made available throughout the season via the competition notice boards and the members website news.

In addition to the single event competitions we have 4 rolling knock out competitions: our summer doubles, summer foursomes, summer singles and summer seniors singles. To see the competition draws and results as they progress click on the knock out draw button above.

Club competitions give everyone a chance to make a name for themselves on the club honours boards or simply  a chance to test their golfing skills against fellow members but we also play a variety of  matches against other clubs
.

The Inter-club matches and Mixed matches are keenly contested but friendly matches whereas competitions such as the Hillman Trophy,  Concorde league and the Mail on Sunday National Golf Club Classic are more keenly contested.

All our competitions have entry requirements and rules and full details of these can be found in the pro shop or by clicking
here. We love to see lots of members entering the club competitions and playing for Donnington Grove in the many inter club matches. So if you’re interested mail me here and please remember

You have to be in it to win it!

Handicaps are closely linked with any golf competition and this year our handicaps will be looked after by  Vince Hanniffy

Updated handicaps lists can be found on the Club notice board or by clicking here but please remember that the rules of golf place responsible on members for policing their own handicaps. You should not therefore rely solely on Club information which is  ‘current’ at the time of printing. A useful way to track your handicap and results is via the web site Howdidido. To see how useful this could be to you click here

Once a year we hold a formal handicap review to take a longer term look at member’s results to see whether handicaps should be adjusted and we’ll tell you more about this when we do.So enjoy your golf this year and please remember

The best handicap is an active one!
