Jonathan Yarwood is one of the most successful British golf coaches. He has coached winners on all the Professional Tours around the world including a Major Championship and the youngest ever US Girls’ Champion. He is based at the highly exclusive The Concession Golf Club on the Gulf Coast of Florida, although he spends the British Summer at Donnington Grove dependent on his schedule ‘on Tour’.

In May 2008, we opened our first UK facility at Donnington Grove Country Club. It was intended to serve as a base for Jonathan’s work with leading Tour professionals and also create an opportunity to bring his style and methodology to a broader community of enthusiastic golfers.

We were fortunate to be able to appoint Matt Woods as our Director of Instruction. Matt has been an integral part of the golfing community at Donnington Grove for 5 years. He has an excellent track record as a tour professional winning twice on the Europro, leading the New Zealand Open and winning 50 events in total. His achievements as a coach are equally impressive and he leads our efforts here.

Jonathan formally opened the Academy on 19th May 2008 with Michael Campbell and European Tour Players Ed Rush and Richard McEvoy. Donnington Grove Members and the local and golfing media were treated to a brief yet highly impressive Master Class

The Academy comprises an outdoor grass range and dedicated short game area in addition to the impressive members practice facilities and also includes an in-door Academy facility, fitted with the latest videoing and viewing technology.

Tuition is available for all levels and ages – the occasionally presence of a Major winner should serve as an incentive for everyone to improve their game.
